There are moments from Drexciya's past, present and future on this album. There are also moments of clear oceanic beauty, and deadly sub-aquatic harshness. The standout tracks include 'song of the green whale' which will be considered a classic in a short time, beautiful clear synths descend into warm carribean waters. 'Lake Haze' likewise could be from anytime in the last 9 years Drexciya have been producing, they have a knack of either sounding effortlessly timeless, or completely alien. A dip into their dark past comes out in 'Mission to Ociya Syndor and back', a disturbing excursion into the depths of the turbulent sea. And 'Under Sea disturbances' has a fine balance of the schizophrenic quality that Drexciya utilise so well, using shifting bass rumbles and warm melodies to near perfect effect.
